In the next window, enter the server address, username, and password, then click Login. Accept the default location for the Seafile folder and click Next. Open the Seafile client program on your computer or device. Still not getting expected behavior, but active development is always a good sign for long term support. Once you have installed the Seafile client, you can test the file synchronization and sharing functionality. Known Issues/Bugs/Limitations Synchronization (download) works pretty well for 100-200 files in 3 sub-dir levels with overall size 1 Gb. Update: looks like the developers are actively trying to address my one gripe. At the first run script will obtain an authentication token at Seafile server and remove your login and password entries from configuration file (for security reasons).

Seahub natively displays file formats from Microsoft and LibreOffice, as well as videos, pictures, pdf & text files, and many more. If you don't need a yearly prepaid support plan, we offer screen share and remote login support at 120 USD/hour. It’s small office with 3 branches and total around 15 employees, around 4-5 employees for each branch. It doesn’t show up as a storage location in files, and applications that do see it in the share sheet do not have a way to request an authentication key to access files without exporting them directly from the Seafile UI. Users can log in from a browser and navigate through folders, upload, edit & download files, share data with others, and so on. So, after toying around with Seafile, I found it suitable with our office needs. That said, Seafile doesn’t really integrate into iOS like most other online storage apps like Dropbox or Google Drive. Seafile is an open-source, cross-platform file-hosting software system. Syncing and downloads work as expected, the Touch ID works as expected, and I’ve had no issues uploading and downloading files in bulk. The application works quite well overall.
